Dr. Julie Dunn

PT, DPT, CMPT
Physical Therapist

As a physical therapist, I bring a distinctive background to my profession that sets me apart. My journey is driven by an eclectic mix of passions, including music, performing arts, languages, travel, and education. In the midst of exploring these diverse interests, I pursued a degree in Spanish language, allowing me to not only broaden my linguistic horizons but also deepen my appreciation for cultural diversity through travel. This unconventional path eventually led me to the world of physical therapy. My educational odyssey took me across the country, exposing me to patients with a wide spectrum of abilities and backgrounds. Armed with a Spanish language degree, I enrolled at Idaho State University to embark on the path toward my Doctorate of Physical Therapy.

During my doctoral studies, my team’s groundbreaking research on enhancing community well-being garnered national acclaim and resonated with audiences worldwide. Additionally, my dedication to mentorship, exceptional scholarship, and leadership earned me numerous accolades. Beyond the classroom, I contributed my expertise to both state and national physical therapy boards. Committed to delivering comprehensive care, I pursued advanced certifications in hands-on therapy for orthopedic concerns. I swiftly progressed through certification courses focused on pelvic health and obstetric physical therapy, solidifying my role as a pelvic health PT since 2016. My mission is to guide individuals through their challenges and facilitate their return to the activities they hold dear. Before joining Treasure Valley Pelvic Health, I dedicated four years to the Saint Alphonsus OBGYN clinic, where I made significant strides as a pelvic PT. My journey, marked by an array of passions and a commitment to excellence, uniquely equips me to provide the highest level of care to help you regain the life you cherish.

My Core Values Are:

  • Honoring Each Patient’s Journey

  • Approaching Wellness As A Team

  • Empowering Individuals For Self-Care

  • Leaving A Positive Impact

“Whatever you are, be a good one.”

Here at Treasure Valley Pelvic Health, most of my time is spent as a Physical Therapist. I also help with social media/newsletter content. Utilizing my certifications and experience, I help patients with the following:

  • Abdominopelvic Pressure Management

I enjoy having a variety of cases, and especially “zooming out” to consider pain or dysfunction in one area as it relates to the rest of the body. I like it all, from conditions that have not responded to previous physical therapy, to cases where we’re being proactive to catch muscle imbalances and scar issues before they create bigger problems.

At Treasure Valley Pelvic Health, I enjoy providing personalized, one-on-one care along each patient’s journey, the spa-like environment, the entire staff, and our care for each other and our community. The emphasis on maintaining a growth mindset along with education opportunities and the chance to be on the receiving or giving end of mentorship are all deeply appreciated.
