“You are not the darkness you endured. You are the light that refused to surrender.”
— John Mark Green

Monica H. is a patient care coordinator and intake specialist at Treasure Valley Pelvic Health’s Eagle clinic.

As a patient care coordinator, she connects new and existing patients with the information and physical therapy appointments they need to live a life unlimited. She often gets the opportunity to be a patient’s first point of contact with Treasure Valley Pelvic Health during intake calls. She views these conversations as a privilege, reassuring patients that they are not alone and that they are safe in this space. She also handles the web-based inquiries from the website and social media.

From her first conversation with patients, she’s invested in doing everything she can to help aid people through their difficult, often-emotional healing journeys. Chronic pain, struggles with incontinence, and intimacy challenges all greatly impact day-to-day functionality, social lives, relationships, confidence, the ability to be present and care for children, and overall mental health. She prioritizes giving people hope and providing them the comfort of truly being seen and understood through their challenges. She loves watching the practitioners provide patients with a much-improved quality of life and seeing patients meet their therapy goals. It’s rewarding for her to celebrate with patients in their successes, as they prepare for motherhood, or welcome a new baby into their lives.

She has worked in the health care field as a certified massage therapist. She’s also worked at physical therapy and chiropractic clinics as administrative staff.

In her free time, she loves to see her favorite artists perform live, crafting, and writing poetry. She enjoys making memories with her family in the Idaho sunshine. Whether camping by the lake, building bonfires at the river, going for a dip in mountain hot springs, taking daytrips to cool places, or roadtripping to the beach, Monica and her family always find a way to be playing in the water as much as possible.

She is a friendly ear for incoming patients to speak comfortably, and without judgment, about the sensitive and difficult challenges they’re dealing with.
