There can be several reasons why someone may be experiencing symptoms of pelvic floor dysfunction. Pelvic floor problems are not exclusive to women nor are they exclusive to pregnancy/delivery. Symptoms may arise because the muscles are too tight causing the person to not relax fully, maybe digestive in nature, due to surgeries or even physical or emotional traumas can cause symptoms to arise.
